Privacy Policy · Slide Reader 1.2

Updated: September 24, 2026 On-device processing Slide Reader reads images you select, computes alignment and displays comparisons on your Mac. It has no account, ads, tracking, third-party analytics SDK or network entitlement. Images, cases, filenames, logs and usage records are not transmitted to the developer or other servers. Files and local storage The system file picker or drag and drop grants file access. References and security-scoped bookmarks allow later access without copying external slides or modifying originals. The synthetic example is copied into the app’s own storage. Case titles, references, alignment, region analysis and group corrections, layer order, settings and operation logs are stored in the sandbox’s Application Support/KfbReader. Language preferences are saved in the app’s local preferences. Logs may include filenames and case titles. Review and remove personal information before voluntarily sharing logs; the app never sends them automatically. Deletion and export Deleting a case removes its references, bookmarks, alignment, region records and case log, as well as copies of built-in example images. Original images are not deleted. Past operations may remain in the application log; remove it through Help → Clear Application Log. PNG, JSON and CSV exports remain at your chosen location under your control. macOS or backup software may keep separate backups. System services and intended use Apple may process purchase, download and system diagnostic information according to your system settings and Apple’s policies. This is separate from data collected or uploaded by this app. The app is for image alignment and visual comparison in teaching and research. It does not provide automated pathology diagnosis, lesion detection or treatment advice. Serial sections may differ; alignment and cell analysis require manual verification. Serving a webpage requires receiving an IP address and browser request details. The website and the local app process data separately.
